NCTS Welcomes Student Interns from PUP

The National Center for Transportation Studies (NCTS) is pleased to welcome fifteen (15) college students from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) to undergo an internship.

On February 2, 2026, Ms. Maribelle Lobendino, NCTS Research, Extension and Professional Staff (REPS) and Student Affairs Coordinator, conducted an orientation for the first batch of interns and conducted another for the second batch on February 9. The sessions outlined expectations, guidelines, and the specifics of the internship, scheduled to run from February 2 to April 6, 2026, fulfilling the required minimum of 200 hours. A courtesy call with Dr. Jun T. Castro, NCTS Director, was also held on February 11, 2026, to formally welcome the interns.

The NCTS Internship Program aims to provide students with practical experience in conducting research, creating knowledge products, and exploring diverse career paths in the engineering field. The program also focuses on developing interns’ competencies, work ethics, and values, which are critical for the students’ future professional success.
