On March 9, 2026, at 1:00 PM via Zoom, Engr. Sheila Flor Javier served as Resource Person during the LTFRB GAD online forum, “Give to Gain” – Women’s Forum: Women Shaping the Face of Modern Public Transportation, participated in by LTFRB personnel nationwide and transport service cooperatives. She delivered a presentation entitled Women Shaping Public Transportation: Global and Local Perspectives. In her presentation, she discussed how women, both globally and in the Philippine setting, have helped shape public transport services, policies, and systems through their contributions to inclusive mobility, safety, service design, and sustainability.

She also highlighted women’s advantage in public transportation planning and development, particularly in understanding commuter behavior, accessibility needs, gender-responsive planning, and community-based transport solutions. Her presentation emphasized the important role of women in building safer, more inclusive, and more responsive public transport systems.
