



The Mission Road Safety Biyahero Caravan, held on September 18, 2026 at Rizal Park Hotel, Manila, brought together transport leaders, fleet operators, and professional drivers for discussions on road safety, fuel efficiency, regulatory compliance, and driver well-being.
Representing the UP National Center for Transportation Studies (UP NCTS), EnP. Jerome N. Ballarta discussed fuel-efficient driving, highlighting the Human–Vehicle–Road Triad and practical strategies such as controlled acceleration, progressive shifting, and proper vehicle maintenance.
Other sessions featured Ms. Beverly Sabela of Land Transportation Office (LTO) on road rage and reckless driving; Ms. Charmaine Lap-os and Mr. Tresty Mercado of Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) on expressway safety and common causes of apprehensions and crashes; and Mr. Jason Roque of Department of Healt (DOH) on staying calm, alert, and focused while driving.
The caravan underscored the shared responsibility of drivers, operators, and agencies in promoting safer, more efficient, and more sustainable road transport.
