MMDA and UPNCTS Meet to Discuss Collaboration Opportunities for the Successful Implementation of Traffic Management Plan for Metro Manila

On May 2, 2023, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) met with the University of the Philippines National Center for Transportation Studies (UPNCTS) to discuss collaboration opportunities for the successful implementation of the Five-Year Action Plan on Traffic Management for Metro Manila.

The meeting was initiated by the MMDA to explore how the two organizations can work together to achieve the goals of the plan. Effective implementation of the action plan requires strong partnerships, and as such, MMDA is eager to identify opportunities for collaboration between organizations that can enhance the plan’s implementation.

The UPNCTS supported the MMDA during the conduct of the JICA-funded Project for Comprehensive Traffic Management Plan (CTMP) for Metro Manila.

As the project officially ended last December 2022, the MMDA is now in charge of implementing the major output of the plan, the Five-Year Action Plan on Traffic Management for Metro Manila (2023-2027).
