The National Center for Transportation Studies (NCTS) is pleased to welcome six (6) college students from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) to undergo internship. 

On June 21, 2025, Ms. Maribelle Lobendino, NCTS Research, Extension and Professional Staff (REPS) and Student Affairs Coordinator, conducted an orientation for the interns. The session outlined expectations, guidelines, and the specifics of the internship, scheduled to run from July 21 to September 12, 2025, fulfilling the required minimum of 300 hours. A courtesy call with Dr. Jun T. Castro, NCTS Director, was also held on the same day, to formally welcome the interns.

The NCTS Internship Program aims to provide students with practical experience in conducting research, creating knowledge products, and exploring diverse career paths in the engineering field. The program also focuses on developing interns’ competencies, work ethics, and values – critical for future professional success.
