The NCTS welcomes eight (8) Grade 12 students from UP Integrated School (UPIS) to undergo internship. The NCTS was invited by UPIS to be their partner institution for the off-campus practicum of the Grade 12 students in the Applied Sciences and Engineering (ASE) track. Several batches from the UPIS were hosted by the Center during the pre-pandemic period and as per their evaluation, their students from the previous batches had a good learning experience from the NCTS. In addition, new knowledge, skills, and attitudes were acquired and were helpful in better understanding and appreciation of the work environment.

An orientation for the students regarding expectations, guidelines, implementing details was held on March 20, 2023, at the Center, by Ms. Maribelle Lobendino, NCTS Student Affairs Coordinator. Also present were professors from UPIS: Ms. Regina Carla Taduran and Ms. Charlaine Guerrero. The students will stay at the Center for ten (10) working days to meet the required sixty (60) hours.

Also, a courtesy call with Dr. Jun Castro, NCTS Director was held on March 22, 2023.

The off-campus practicum is scheduled for two weeks, from March 20-31, for a total of sixty (60) hours. It is expected that the students will acquire hands-on experiences in conducting research and generating products and be exposed to careers in the engineering fields.
