Race to Resilience

Asia event series

Uniting Asia to build resilience

Building up to COP27, the Race to Resilience Asia event series will bring together experts from across the region to share insights, showcase best practices and call for action on how to make our cities more resilient. Participating cities include Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Manila and Singapore.

From energy and water to transport and inclusive design, the event series takes a city systems approach to look at this urgent global challenge from a regional perspective and elaborate local insights and solutions.

Climate change is happening more rapidly than scientists have predicted, with heatwaves, droughts, forest fires, rising sea levels and other natural phenomena becoming increasingly frequent and starting to have significant impacts. The message from climate science is clear: we must act now to transform the systems that underpin our daily lives and economies and brace ourselves for what we cannot prevent.

Our Asia event series is endorsed by the United Nations backed Race to Resilience global initiative which aims to catalyse a step change in global ambition for climate resilience. This programme puts people and nature first, in pursuit of a resilient world where we do not just survive climate shocks and stresses but thrive in spite of them.

Join us to generate practical actions to build climate resilience for our cities.

The Race to Resilience is the UN-backed global campaign to catalyse a step-change in global ambition for climate resilience, putting people and nature first in pursuit of a resilient world where we don’t just survive climate shocks and stresses, but thrive in spite of them. Join the Race and join as a partner or as a member.
