The National Center for Transportation Studies recently concluded its 30th Traffic Administration Course (TAC), held online via Zoom from February 19 to March 1, 2024. The event brought together 66 participants from various sectors, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing on transportation and traffic issues.
This year’s online offering of the TAC proved to be a resounding success, attracting a diverse group of participants from different sectors. The training program welcomed 51 participants from 14 local government units in Luzon and Visayas, 5 participants from 5 national government agencies including the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), Philippine National Police (PNP), Supreme Court, and Philippine Army. Additionally, one participant represented Bicol State College of Applied Sciences and Technology, while 10 participants hailed from private companies such as Bonifacio Estate Corporation, Bonifacio Transport Corporation, Envi-Comm Corporation, JEA Consultancy Services, and Skyway O&M Corporation.
The online format facilitated seamless participation and interaction, allowing participants to engage in discussions, share insights, and network with professionals from diverse backgrounds. The virtual platform not only overcame geographical barriers but also showcased the adaptability of the National Center for Transportation Studies in providing quality education in the face of evolving circumstances.
As the participants return to their respective roles and responsibilities, armed with new insights and skills, the impact of the 30th TAC is expected to ripple across the transportation landscape, contributing to safer, more efficient, and sustainable transportation systems nationwide.
