The National Center for Transportation Studies (NCTS) is pleased to welcome nineteen (19) college students from the University of the Philippines Diliman Institute of Civil Engineering (UPD ICE) and two (2) college students from the Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) to undergo an internship.
On July 18, 2026, Ms. Maribelle Lobendino, NCTS Research, Extension and Professional Staff (REPS) and Student Affairs Coordinator, conducted an orientation for the interns. The session outlined expectations, guidelines, and the specifics of the internship, scheduled to run from June 18 to July 31, 2026, fulfilling the required minimum of 200 hours (UPD ICE) and 240 hours (MSU-IIT). A courtesy call with Dr. Jun T. Castro, NCTS Director, was also held on the same day, to formally welcome the interns.
The NCTS Internship Program aims to provide students with practical experience in conducting research, creating knowledge products, and exploring diverse career paths in the engineering field. The program also focuses on developing interns’ competencies, work ethics, and values, which are critical for the students’ future professional success.
