On 15 December 2025, the Philippine Railway Institute (PRI) marked six years of professionalizing the nation’s rail sector. Held at the Bulwagang Romeo F. Edu, the anniversary celebration was themed “Beyond Borders @6: Forging Global Partnership for Railway Innovation and Sustainability”, a powerful call to action highlighting that collaboration is the engine driving the country’s railway journey forward.
The event was more than a milestone; it was an occasion dedicated to honoring the community of partners who have stood by the Institute since its inception. Among the key highlights was the presentation of a Special Recognition award to the Transportation Science Society of the Philippines (TSSP). Dr. Daniel L. Mabazza accepted the certificate on behalf of the Society.
This recognition acknowledges TSSP’s unwavering support and commitment to the PRI’s programs. Through collaborative efforts, shared visions, and proactive engagement, TSSP has played a vital role in the growth and success of the Institute, helping bridge the gap between transportation science and real-world application.
